This is a great place to read.... read... and read some more. If you do, you will get a great deal of info from the community here. Also, when you start your tank up... share it here. Start a build thread. Ask questions... learn. Take your time to educate yourself...and you will save money in the long run. Too many new hobbyist jump right in... and then join us here because something is wrong or worse....

Reef Tanks are a lot of work, a big investment in time and money... but extremely rewarding.... and as someone else has already said... Patience is the key to success with reef tanks. Short cuts are quick ways to spending or wasting money....

At the top of each forum is a collection of stickies... there are some real gold nuggets of information there. As a fish disease “expert” I would be remiss not to mention considering a QT protocol for new additions from the start. Can be as simple as a mini-DT for close observation and acclimation to foods and aquarium-life.
