My husband and I are one month new to saltwater, but we had been into fresh for several years. It's been an interesting adventure so far, to say the least! Lol
We're currently experiencing an Ich problem that came with our royal gramma a couple weeks ago. Despite attempts at intervention, we lost our female clown yesterday. Male seems to be getting better, but I'm not sure. We did freshwater dips with prazi and then QT. Main tank treatment started with rally and kick ich. Both clowns were doing awful in QT so we returned them to main two days before she passed. With carbon out and skimmer off the whole tank started to crash so we got everything going again. What in the world should we do?

Welcome to R2R. I moved this over to the disease forum to get more specific help to your issue. I would encourage you to do another post the Meet & Greet forum so you're properly welcomed.

Welcome! I'm assuming the tank is only 1 month old? I believe your best option is to QT and treat the fish.
That's what I'm worried about as we only set ourselves up with a 10 gal QT for new stock. I'm not sure it will support everyone long term. We have a mating pair of fires, sadly one half the mating pair of clowns, a watchman goby and a feisty sapphire damsel that needs his space. Treating the tank with carbon and skimmer off gets even more iffy as our goniapora and blastomousa corals and our rainbow bubble anemone don't appreciate the chem spikes.
