Hi all

I have recently got back into the hobby. 10+ years ago I had serious MTS and had a few FW tanks, a brackish and a Deltec Marine (my fave).

After a few house moves this dwindled to just the Deltec and after a couple of ammonia spikes (caused by moving) , we (my wife) decided it maybe best to get rid. Que rehousing fish and corals to LFS and selling tank on ebay.

Anyway, after Christmas I bought a nano marine all in one (aqua one nano 35) and put in water, live rock and live (I know) sand. Previously had an rodi unit under the sink, but now I'm buying sw/ro from LFS as with the tiny tank it's negligible on the price.

Planning on softies, cuc and 2, maybe 3 fish. So far (up to today), I have a few lovely zoas, Kenyan tree and a couple of mushrooms. Cuc so far are 3 trochus, 3 cerith, 2 bumble bee and 3 hermits.

Introduced my first fish today, a Talbot's damsel and a peppermint shrimp (I have a tiny aipstasia that arrived with the Kenya tree).

I have modified the standard Aqua One by removing the skimmer (noisy and skimmed clear), adding an Ehiem Classic canister for Rowaphos and cintered glass and upgraded the return pump to an Ehiem Compact 600. Added a Tunze 6015 power head (too powerful for this tank it seems, looking at options, recommendations?)

Today I added a Talbot's Damsel and Peppermint Shrimp. Not worried about the possible aggression from the damsel as his only future tank mate is a reef safe tiny gobi (still undecided on which, suggestions?) or gobi shrimp pair (saw a pair in the LFS today, but they didn't look happy)

So, that's me and my obsession. In other news, I like red wine, good food, running, cycling and do a bit of IT in a school for a job.

TLDR - Hi

Thanks

Jon
