Hi all.

Been a reef2reef member since June of this year and a new reefer as well. I'm now about 10 months into reefing. I do love it. Was dealing with green hair algae for awhile. Think I have it under control now. So much to learn. I'm constantly reading or watching something on saltwater aquariums or corals. Read posts on R2R all the time. Lots of fun. I do enjoy the hobby and am taking my time with it.

Welcome to your new home for saltwater reef aquarium resources and fun! Welcome to the family! :D

Just joined. I am new to the hobby. Starting my saltwater aquarium in January of this year. Have been following R2R for some time now and have been learning so much from all you.

Hi Charlie and Welcome! Glad you joined.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you in New York:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

I'll look into the build thread. Not a bad idea. I'm sure I do not remember everything I did or used (amount of rock/sand, etc) but may be fun. I have logged most of what I do on my phone and take a lot of pics. I'm happy to see and photo whatever I am able to achieve with my aquarium and the things I have had trouble with.
