Hello! I am brand new to saltwater tanks and reefing.

I am starting to explore with a little 20-gallon tank. Just set it up a couple of weeks ago and it is close to being cycled! I'm looking forward to filling it soon!

My new tank is part of a design capstone exploration in coral reef keeping. The information in this forum has already helped so much with setting up my tank, I know that there is a lot of knowledge here! If anyone has a suggested thread where I could ask some pretty random questions about reef-keeping practices please let me know! I don't want to disrupt or ask questions in the wrong places

Welcome sharkfin,
Lots to learn with tank as analog to ocean.
What happens when CO2 rises in the ambient?
Ask away, we have lots of answers, some are correct.

Welcome to R2R! Plenty of knowledgeable folks around to help answer your questions. There are a lot of different forums to choose from based on topic, but really anywhere you post can be edited if you find it's in the "wrong place," but even then it wouldn't be a big deal or end of the world. :) Can't wait to hear more about your project and tank!

good bye hello GIF

We have strick rules on where questions can be asked, and in what forum they belong. If you violate those rules, we have other strick rules that govern response postings and how to explain to new folks how they messed up and where they should post next time. If you have a general question, post it and if it is in the wrong place the mods can move it for you, no extra charge.

Also, a good way to not violate any of the many rules is to start a build thread and post your questions in there as you document your progress and learning.

The most strick rules apply to a first thread, responses must be kind, are best if they contain a gif, and must contain the sacred screed; "Welcome to Reef2Reef!"

Don't worry to much about the rules on here. Be kind and never post dumb things like I do and you will be fine.

Redundancy is strickly forbidden;
Welcome to Reef2Reef!
