I generally go to the fish store and have them check my water. The last 2 times I have gone it has been good. Nothing out of whack. my water comes from the fish store so I’m told they get it from Catalina.

Looks like you’re off to a wonderful start but to address the algae in the salt ….

first , are you using rodi water or tap from the faucet ?
have you tested water chemistry and if so can you provide us with results ?
What kit are you using ?

I get my water from the fish store. I believe they get it from Catalina, but not sure. I do haver the water tested at least once a month and all levels are good.
