I should have some pieces left of the house baseboard trim, so I will route out the holes for the door, trim out the top and bottom with baseboard, corner bead, and spray the whole thing white to match the house (& seal it in).
Nice job! I wish I had power tools to make my own stands, I was looking for one for a cube tank as well and same problem, they are all skinny or the one I found was made of the cheapest particle board.

Only problem is you might leave with a stand you can park a car on.
As for power tools... we've been "collecting" them for 14 years, fixing stuff in the house.

Interesting thing about power tools:
You can buy them at Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, Harbor Freight, Amazon, Sam's Club and Costco (sometimes)...
I'm kidding (sorta). It's nice having power tools when you need them but storage and maintenance can be a pain.

Saw an interesting article on the internet about making a cordless drill water resistant a few years ago. Don’t remember how it was done except any leaks into the motor and it’s finished. Be nice to drill into the rock structure to slide frag plug pegs into holes.

You could just buy long drill bits.
Never thought of it until you said that, but I buy them for running wire in walls.

Better yet. Buy some of these, remove the rocks from your tank, drill little holes, insert these all at once, put rocks back with the pegs inserted. Then you have adjustable sites for frags to use as needed whenever. If the coral doesn’t like where it’s at, move it to a different peg. Wallah!!!!!

Yeah, I'd think in water proofing you'd have a high potential for overheating the drill unless you found a way to water cool it instead of air cooling.
So many moving parts to try to seal up and still have to have that air flow around them.

No controller yet. For now I will run with the AIO. I was going to mount the controller board for power brick management, but I might go with a TP link surge protector instead.
