Help a noob ID my coral

Long time aquarium owner first time poster. I recently jumped back into the salt water hobby. My LFS had some corals on sale today. The new guy couldn't tell me what this was but I couldn't pass it up. I'm sure one of you knows. Hopefully I got a deal.

looks like some type of chalice to me.

Welcome officially! It looks like a chalice to me as well Seems to have been heavily damaged though.It will probably take a good year for that guy to recover.
