I have two decent colonies of acan that have been growing next to a frogspawn for years. However I think the frogspawn finally got big enough to sting the acans.
I noticed them touching and moved the frogspawn but a huge chunk of red acan was already melted. I blew off the slime thinking that would stop the damage but it’s progressed to kill all of the red acan and is now moving onto the green one.
They’ve been in the tank for years grown on the rock so I can’t remove them, is there anything I can do to save the green one? Also I’m presuming the die off is because of sting but maybe it’s something else. All other corals are fine.
Parameters look in line, all other corals are happy.
