I have a Clarkii clown pair and a banggai cardinal. The female of the clarkii chases the male all over the tank. One time I saw it jump due to the chasing. And the clown also eats my banggai cardinals fish on a daily basis. Today was the last straw because the banggai is tORN.

I have now put the clarkii in "jail" aka a breeder box. I've done this before but it always ends up being a dominant fish hierarchy. Is there anything I can do to stop this other than sell the fish.

What size tank do you have. Also doesn't look like much rock in your tank. Meaning when you only have 1 or 2 rock the clownfish will claim that area abd chase everything else in sight. Add a few more rocks to block tension

Also if this tank is under 30 gallons it's going to be hard from any fish that occupies the middle half of the tank to live with the clown

Clarkii are often a very aggressive clownfish. I too am curious about the tank size?

Its a 45 gallon 36x18x22

I have a lil bit of rock

I'm fighting a hair algae issue due to an overstock issue of 10 fishes....

I have now narrowed it too 6 fishes

That isn't much rock. I would add more live rock. Take that rock out and clean of. Add some more snails. Also how often do you clean that canister filter

You should probably buy a clean up crew to get rid of that hair algae

A clarkii's aggression isn't going to improve in that size tank. If you want clowns I would suggest removing the clarkii and getting a smaller, more peaceful species, such as occellaris or percula.
