Help algae I'D please

Ok so my friends tank it's getting this ugly algae , it's brown and red , and he needs to know what to do to get rid of it , like if there some snails or crabs that will eat it or some , and wants to knoe whats causing it , he has a 40 gallon breeder with hang on the back refugiun and sump , and maxspect razor led .. thanks in advance

Looks like Red Turf Algae. Tough to get rid of. Sometimes if it gets thick enough you can just peal it off. I've got it in my tank too. Not sure what causes it, In my tank anyways.
If he can take that rock out during a water change have him do so and scrub it off in the old water.
Mexican Turbo Snails will eat it also. Mine does

I had it pretty good also, I've heard high flow on it keeps it away and cutting down on feeding. I used a little fresh water Maracyn in my tank. Lol if you use that, make sure you turn your skimmer off, goes into turbo mode. My tank looks pretty good now. Been a few months since it happened.

so more flow in that area , scrubbing the rock and Mexican turbo snails sounds good I'm gonna let him know cause he's pretty worried about it , thanks for your help guys ..

Cyano. Low flow area. Wipe it clean, use a lil brush if you can to get teh rest off. Nutrients high in the tank?
There are several type of snails that will help also. There is the 3 days lights out that will kill it.
