Thank you so much!! I did a big water change and things are looking better. Changed my light schedule and reduced feeding and am already doing improvements. Going to keep up with 25% for the next couple weeks 2 times a week and hoping things will get better !

Also I keep see people to tell you to switch to frozen I would disagree on this as there are alot of nutrients in frozen food enless you wash it before use a high quality dry food will I'm my experience help with water quality as oposed to hurting it as long as you are not feeding more then they can eat
I was feeding my fish mostly frozen every day and my phosphate would get very high even with 10% weekly WC, I switched to mostly Ocean Nutrition flake food twice daily and frozen as a treat twice a week. My phosphates are more stable now in the low numbers. Even quality frozen foods has high phosphates.

Glad to hear things are looking good. 25% twice a week isn't really necessary maybe just for a week or two if you want to, but just once a week and proper feeding habits should be enough.

Maybe flake is less dense then pellet food? From my research I've found that pellets are just nutrient bombs if they don't get eaten. I'm no expert though so maybe I am wrong. Just my experience that switching from pellet to frozen aided in reducing algae in my system. Very well could have been just the other things I did over the course of the 3-4 month struggle/system stabilizing and nothing to do with the food.
I like to feed a variety so will probably add in some dry food again at some point.

As to dry food it really depends on the quality of food and agin you said it right there if it's uneaten best way to feed is to add alittle at a time alowing your inhabitants to eat everything put into the water I do this with all my food

except when blowing reef roids onto coral as I cant tell what they are grabbing and what they miss I just dont use to much I use 1/32 of a teaspoon once a week mixed with tank water and then I use a turkey baster to give each one alittle shot of food in a 32 biocube tjen after they are done eating I turn the pumps back on and blow off the rocks to help remove whatever they missed
