All of my pictures have a blue tint to them that distorts the true colors of the corals I am trying to take pictures of... can anyone help me out?

White Balance

Free program called GIMP has an auto WB feature that is great for shooting into blue specs of light.

Hope this helps!

what brand/model camera are you using?

ps - this isn't the HAT bigred, is it? if you don't know what i mean, nevermind...sure it's a common screen name. :)

What type of camera are you using and what type of lense (if SLR)?

You need to adjust your white balance. The most effective way to do so is to shoot in the RAW format and adjust in the RAW converter. If you need help, let me know.

If your camera will not shoot in RAW or you just want to shoot jpg files, then you have to set a custom white balance. Instructions for doing that are in your camera manual.
