What do you mean by what kind of bubble tip are they , there’s only 1 kindWhat kind of bubbletip nems are those? Are there any other bubbletips in the same system? ive experienced negative results mixing aquacultued nems with wilds
What data do you have to share with us regarding this? I would like to read it.Well yes the 1 kind being quadricolor (bubble tip nems), but within this category there are different variants. For example the purple passion bubbletip which is purple with green tips, black widow bta, sherman bta, green bta, etc.
Some may be from different regions than others and dont necessarily always get along (chemical warfare). So do you know what type yours is and is there any other different types in the tank with it?
But this thread has nothing to do with mixing bubbles tips .I have personal experience to go off of as I've experienced this many times. If you join the Sunburt Facebook group (a group focused on high end bubbletip anemones) you can read countless countless reports of people making these same claims. I have lost 3 Colorado Sunburst anemone on different occasions by mixing with wild btas. Same thing with black widow bta.
At first I didn't believe it either and wanted "scientific data"....few thousand dollars later and personal experiences brought me to this conclusion.
Once or twice might be a fluke, but it keeps happening and not just to me

Original poster is having issues with his bubble tip anemones and he doesn't know why, I'm asking him if he has other BtA in his tankBut this thread has nothing to do with mixing bubbles tips .
Thanks for the reply.
I don’t do Facebook or any other social media, but I will take you for you word on what you have experienced in your tank.
I wonder why it has happened to you so many times, but has never happened in others?
Any thoughts?
Also, not trying to hijack the thread, still waiting for the OP to give some feed back so trying to maybe learn something.
