I’ve had this Scoly for about 2-3 weeks now (along with another scoly which is doing really well). It seems to just be slowly deteriorating. I’ve had it on the sand (but on a little pedestal thing the lfs suggested). I’m feeding it reef roids once a week and flakes once a week.
I’ve just moved it today to where the other scoly is. Apart from that I’m really not sure what to do. I’ve never owned them before.
water parameters are as follows:

nitrate: 5
Phosphate: 0 (according to salifert test kit)
Ph: 8.15
Alkalinity: between 7.7-8.0
Calcium: 430
Magnesium: 1260
Temperature (in Celsius): usually between 25.7-26.7 (I don’t run a chiller, but keep our air conditioner on)

Any advice much appreciated…

Low flow low light. Was it like this when you got it? Or did it get to this since it’s been in the tank

Mag a little low maybe? I keep mine at 1300+. Transfer my scooly to my 1.5 new tank and it’s thriving just fine. I can place it anywhere in the bottom tank too.

How much light is it getting? I keep mine under a rock shelf at 50-75 par as they retract with too much light.

Is there anything likely to be nipping at it?

edit: Have you checked your salinity?

No it wasn’t like that when I got it, was beautiful. although there was a small tear in its side.
I thought it was low light, and it was definitely in low flow.
here is a screenshot of the settings of my Ai prime lighting. It’s a waterbox cube 20 btw.

Ok so maybe I need to up the magnesium. Does it need to be over 1300?

I’m not sure what the par is but it’s on the bottom of the tank. Light sitting 10” above the tank. I only have snails, and 2 fish. A clown and a yellow assessor.
salinity was 1.027, but I’ve recently adjusted it to 1.026.

I’m somewhat of a new reefer still but I always kept my mags 1350+ . My tank is softies and LPS dominate and all my LPS always are healthy. Many dominated LPS tanks like their mags at 1350+ also. Not totally sure if it effect it enough to kill the scoly but that’s the only thing I see low with your parameters

edited: Just read your other posts. Will let the others chime in as I don’t use the AI prime. Feeding an extra day a week might help it recover from whatever is bothering it.

Ok I’ll try and get the magnesium up a bit. Thanks for your help!

Yes I was wondering if maybe I should feed more. I’ll add in an extra flake or mysis shrimp feed. Thanks so much!
