Hi,
A few months ago, I bought a small purple zoa frag. Since then, it grew into a massive colony, which I decided to move from the sandbed onto the rock. It looked like this:

About a month ago, I bought a frogspawn and placed it nearby. Since then, the zoas have slowly been losing polyps, and it’s now in pretty rough shape:

Is it possible the frogspawn is stinging and killing the zoas at night? Or is this slow death unrelated. Does anybody have similar experiences and advice?
Thanks!

Another theory of mine is lighting, because as you see, the lower polyps look better. Either way, should I move it? And if I should, how might I go about doing that?

Thanks. I’d imagine moving it would be a good option. How should I do that, as it has a good hold of the rock?

Youre gonna have to take a scalpel or sharp knife and cut around the plug to save what you can. I have successful pulled zoas off rock but you have to be careful not to rip them. If youre determined to move them all you could slowly take a knife and scrape underneath each seperate zoa to keep a tiny layer of rock underneath without cutting the actually zoas. Best bet would be to just save what you can thats on the plug.

Moving them from where they are to a lower crevice. It’s about four inches from the frogspawn. Will that be a better location? Thanks!
