Hey guys I picked up a little colony from my LFS just now. I am in the process of dipping it. Within a minute and after blasting with a Turkey baster about 50 of these critters came out. Sorry if you cannot tell but what do these look like? They appear to be dead but should I chance it?? Time is of the essence as I have 20 minutes left of the dip.

I would set up a small at for a few days and re dip them after a few days. If they came off the acro. I would assume so. And if they came fro. Your LFS I would let them know and not buy from them for a bit.

I talked to the LFS and they are willing to give me a refund. They are a very reputable store so I am surprised about this. See attached pictures. It appears all have died but I am worried about the possibility of eggs. What do you all think?

You are making the right call on returning them. Way too much risk unless you have a dedicated QT setup and even then it’s probably not worth it.

Yea that's insane. Sucks bc that means their whole tank is full of them

Yes. They are a very reputable store and the best in the area. I called them that afternoon when I found the worms and brought it in the next day when they opened. The tank it was in was in was completely empty. They said they dipped a couple in that tank after I had called and some flatworms came out of some of the corals. They removed all corals, drained the tank and sterilized before filling back up.

The “famous” store near me has that issue to. Except they don’t pull the coral, they just continue to sell it.. lol.
