i came down to look at my tank this morning and all I see is my cleaner shrimp not where he usually is, then I thought he was dead, but then I read that they molt and I’m really not sure if this is a molt or a carcass that been sitting there for a couple hours. It is all translucent, but I haven’t seen my shrimp out yet if he just molted.

Thank god and you lol, I was freaking out for a bit coming to a bunch of different conclusions, he molted, he died, he escaped lol

Happened to me the first time mine molted too. When they are small it happens ALOT. They are the most vulnerable right after a molt, so it's worth keeping an eye out for when he re-emerges.

My red fire shrimp molted the very first night i put him in the tank... i took the piece and went back to the lfs to get a refund.. thats when i was told they shed and hide
