Not sure if this is a Acanthophyllia or Cynarina. Also shows some receding tissue on the right side i think because of the coral next to it stinging it? Guy at LFS said 85$. Good deal? They only have white lights so i cant see what it will look like in my tank under blue LEDs. Lmk what you guys think. Good deal? Good price? Will recover from tissue recession?

Yea the owner of the stores on vacation so his employees are just sending him pics of stuff i want and getting a price. If i get it definitley has to be cheaper than 85$ in that condition.
My LFS does that also....drives me crazy. I wish they would just put prices on the glass.....seems like every time I go they text the boss and I get a different price.

that’s not an acantho, it’s an cynarina,
and your lfs is confused
Lol yup there definitley confused over here lol. 6 employees and only the owner knows about the corals so they need to txt him pic of everything i want. Also no blue lights so you have no idea what theyll look like under blues....

Exactly i asked how much for a trachy employee txted him he said 80 asked another employee a few days later for the same one now its 110$........

I think it's an Acanthophyllia.

Cynarina's normally have less even meat and more bubbly. Not sure how else to describe it.

Meat coral generally refers to any Acanthophyllia, Cynarina, or Indophyllia since they're all so similar.

Wonder what it looks like colored up for sure. Most Acanthophyllia's are in the $500+ range.

If you are confident rehabing it, $75 could be a good deal, depending on it's coloration normally, definitely looks really stressed rn.
