So there I was testing my new Intellifeed Automatic Feeder with a full compartment of PE Mysis Pellets. I tested it and noticed I had it dumping too much food.
That's when I got the bright idea to pull the compartment out to adjust with it still attached to the tank...
SPALSH!!!!
The whole compartment of food drops into the tank and all the food pours directly down to the sand bed.
I scooped as much out as I could with my net.

Anyone have any advice on what I should do. I go on vacation on Saturday for 5 days and don't want to have a crash while I am gone.

I was planning on doing a Water Change tomorrow but am debating if I should do an emergency one tonight vacuum my sand bed and do the same tomorrow.

Thoughts???

Gravel vac the area with the pellets. Get as many as you can. Don't sweat it too much, has happened to many a reefer.

Yeah I'm going to gravel vac in the morning when I do my Water Change. Skimmer is going crazy so hopefully that is helping some.

To be honest, I wouldn't wait. By tomorrow morning the pellets will have mostly Dissolved into mush and make your task more difficult. Not to mention the additional Ammonia and skimmer going bonkers.
