Help avoid buying the rock

My lfs has some nice pieces of coral that I want but they are connected to chucks of live rock that weight almost 10 lbs. How can I try an get around this? The 2 corals i want are a green hair mushroom and a devil hand coral. Is there a way to remove then from the rock or is the best bet to buy the rock with them?

They dont do buy the rock deals they do it at standard price unfortunately
