Help! Bella Gobie Died This Morning!

I just tested amonia & its reading .50 ppm
Monday tested nitrates = 67.9
- salinity 1.025
- temp 77.3
- phosphates .21
Trident - ph 7.94
- mag 1285
- cal 567
- Alk 6.47

I have 2 & i know they were both swimming & eating yesterday. I thought I saw them both this morning but can’t swear to it. They are in a WB 220.6.
I know I need to bring down the ammonia levels asap. My question is can I do that thru the AWC by increasing the amount for each water change? Or do I need to do it manually with buckets, etc?
Any other must do’s?

Ammonia and Nitrates are high. Calcium is also high and alk is low. I think they high nitrates and ammonia could be the cause. What other fish are in the tank?

Another Bella Gobie, 3 tangs, 1 Emperor Angel, 1 chromes, 1 Anthia, 1 Engineer Gobie, 2 Latticed Butterflies & various cuc.
i upped the amount on the AWC and did a small manual water change last night.

I would just monitor it. The ammonia spike is probably from the goby dying. Do you have any microbacotor 7? Could dose that as well to help.

I am going to retest the ammonia this morning. I don’t seem to have any of the microbacteria 7 left but I could pick some up.

That ammonia spike isn't from that little fish dying in a 220g system. It didn't even have time to decompose so there is another source causing your ammonia level. Account for all fish. Does your water have foul odor? Do a 25% water change.

The only fish i hadn’t seen was the Engineer Goby but I found him under his rock twice as big as the last time i saw him. No foul odor.
I did retest the Amonia & it’s 1/2 as much as yesterday so I will continue with water changes today as soon as I get enough saltwater made.
