I dropped my skimmer and broke off the piece that connects the pump to the body if the skimmer? I can't find the name of this. Anyone know where I can buy a replacement part? Thanks

I looked through at least 10 pages on coralvue and could not find it. I will contact them directly. If I can just get the nasme if the part that would be a bug help. Hopefully the still have partsbnin stick.
Thanks

I got a hold of Reef Octopus about this issue and they replied "We suggest you to buy a new skimmer body because of that part is bad can not work , thank you"

Ive searched all over the place and cant find just the body.....looks like I will be buying a new skimmer :(

Is that a 6 or 8" skimmer body?

Do you still have the part that attaches to pump?
Haven't had the same accident, but ive broke the drain tube off skimmer cup. If there is a way to drill out the old tube. Maybe a stepper bit? Then weld on a new piece in.

There are no parts you can buy to fix it. I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago with my reef octopus skimmer. I just got a piece of pvc and turned down the outside diameter on both ends on a lathe, one end to fit snugly in the skimmer body and the other end to go into the pump. Good luck I'm a machinist so I have access to alot of machinery.

I was thinking of doing this as well. Just wanted to see if there was a replacement part first. Pve will be the easiest replacement part.

Thanks

What kind of weld on do you use thats safe and effective?

I used Gorilla Glue Gel..the same glue I use to glue frags to plugs. 100% reef safe.
Hi. Just had this issue on my skimmer. Same thing, dropped and broken. Did the gorilla glue gel work?

If you ever fix a skimmer by buying a new one don't forget to send the old one to me!

Haha but yeah just glue it like you did. Weldon will actually melt the acrylic together

Lol i already glued the crap out of it. Waiting til tomorrow to see. Got the skimmer for free so might as well try my best to make this work. Call it ghetto but if this works, i’ll call myself a handyman
