Hi

Please can someone help me calculate how much kalk to dose please?

System holds 850l and KH/Alk drops from 8.0/2.86 to 7.0/2.51 in just 5 days if I do nothing.

I use a 2 litre container filled with RODI (mix desired amont of kalk let it settle) then drip kalk solution in drop by drop over several hours every day to keep it stable. Question is how much should I add to 2l each day?

I use Seachem Kalk...I can't get my head around the math to keep it dead stable.

Directions
Never add this product directly to the tank. Add 3 g (1 teaspoon) to 4 L (1 gallon) of water and mix to dissolve. If using pure water, a fully saturated solution is prepared by adding 6 g (2 teaspoons) to 4 L (1 gallon). Drip this solution into tank. Monitor pH and carbonate alkalinity. Adjust rate of addition to maintain a stable pH (8.3–8.4). Notes: Adding 4 L (1 gallon) of a saturated kalkwasser solution to 150 L (40 gallons) will raise calcium by 24 mg/L. Always use the clear supernatant (top solution) only and do not allow undissolved material to enter the aquarium. Keep this container tightly closed when not in use and minimize solution/air contact to avoid calcium carbonate formation/precipitation.

Please help, I do large weekly water changes the KH/Alk drives me nuts trying to keep up with it.

Thank you

Did I do that right.....? I am so bad at math

Also can I add it direct to my top off water (salt bucket) or would it go 'off' sitting about?

Have you considered just dosing two part? You could do it every few days it looks like.
