Sorry, this is probably a repeating topic but I cant seem to work this out...

My tank is 650 litres and I'm going to try out Quantum phosphate remover instead of GFO as I believe it will be easier to tweak my phosphate levels with my doser, less maintenance and a cost saver. My current phosphate reading is 0.06 and I want to aim for 0.03. The dosing is advised as follows:

DOSING:

  • 0.03-0.25ppm = 0.1-1.0ml per day
  • 0.25-1.0ppm = 0.5-2.5ml per day
  • 1.0-5.0ppm = 1.0-5.0ml per day
  • 5.0-10ppm = 5.0-10.0ml per day
  • 10+ppm = 10.0ml per day
But is this desired phosphate level or target removal amount? Is this per 100 litres, per day?

What daily dose would you suggest to reduce 650 litres from 0.06ppm to 0.03ppm?

Thanks in advance

Thanks homer. I've managed to maintain a steady 0.02 to 0.05 for 2 years now and its worked well for me. Even so, what would the dose be to reduce by 0.03ppm?

What I found online on their website:

Dosing:

0.03-0.25ppm = 0.1-1.0ml per day/100l/26G

0.25-1.0ppm = 0.5-2.5ml per day/100l/26G

1.0-5.0ppm = 1.0-5.0ml per day/100l/26G

5.0-10ppm = 5.0-10.0ml per day/100l/26G

10 ppm = 10.0ml per day/100l/26G

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. May cause skin irritation. In case of contact with eyes, or swallowed seek medical advice immediately

So per 100l, but they do have a calculator.

And have you seen this?

Thanks...yes I found these same instructions and their marketing video say "if your phosphate level is between 0.03 and 0.25, dose between 0.1 to 1ml per day." But to achieve what level of reduction?

Or do they mean...

To reduce Po4 by 0.03ppm in 100l of water, dose 0.1ml ?

Thanks!
