I will say once connected, I've had little to no issues with the doser. Connecting is an exercise in patience though. I've been through the process twice now and have a 3rd unit to set up over xmas break here.

I think we can agree the wifi chip could have better compatibility. I have heard the other kamoer pumps have similar issues. But on the other hand I've had way worse wifi pumps before. So ymmv, and to the future readers, your networking skills may come into good use. On my ubiquiti unifi waps, I have no problems. So I'd look at your wifi hardware as that's going to be half the problem. For my irrigation controller I couldn't get it to stay connected to a generic IOT wap, but on my unifi 2.4ghz network it's happy. It's not unique to kamoer.
It would probably be a good idea to list chips that have trouble with kamoer somewhere. That Asus uses a Broadcom BCM4366E.
My unifi uses a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9563.
There's probably some software configuration that can be modified to help, but I think that's out of scope for a vendor to support. Just goes to show the best intentions of adding wifi can backfire.
If anyone else is having trouble with wifi connectivity, please let us know your wap for people in the future to see. Also probably get some kamoer attention.

They say you can’t use the same wifi name for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz but i fine that not to be true because my network operates that’s way and after two days of trying they finally connected. I even separated my network as a test but it didn’t work. This product is a fail on its launch. I almost returned them til they magically worked for some unknown reason.
I think looking at the product from a wider view would say that it's still a good pump and can controlled from the dial reliably. It's the first reasonably priced constant duty pump, and I think saying the product is a fail misses the bigger picture. Could wifi compatibility be improved? Sure, but look at all the other IOT based systems and you'll find it's not limited to kamoer. It's a reasonably priced, cheap to fix and maintain constant duty pump. I bought a lifetime supply of tubing for like $40. In a few years if these are still around and parts available, we'll look back at the wifi issue and realize it's only part of the product. Until another reliable (and available) constant duty pump comes along at this price point, we'll have to be happy with what we get in the aquarium hobby.

I went out of my way to pick up a couple of these things to replace a sketchy jebao dose and my god, I want to shoot the things.

I can’t get these to connect to my asus router even though I changed the name of the 2ghz network. My first one was a nightmare to connect but it did and I don’t remember what I did. I’m assuming these won’t work with my eero

Yeah - Just went through this and you'll need to split your WiFi network into 2.4GHz (802.11a/g) vs 5GHz (802.11n). You will need a separate SSID for your 2.4GHz vs 5GHz networks. Connect the device to your 802.11a/g SSID and it should work.

I ran into problems connecting initially until I realized that I was trying to hit the reset button too soon after powering up the device. When you first plug the unit in, there will be a solid red light - if you try to push the reset button while this red light is on it'll kick over to a relatively slow flashing blue light. All attempts to connect at this point in time failed - installation locked at 60% and just stopped - even though the pump is flashing a blue light like you would expect. If you wait just a few minutes after starting up the device, the red light will automatically switch over to that slow blinking blue light - now when you push the reset button as per the instructions, you can get the pump to pairing mode and you'll see a much faster blinking blue light which will pair right away.
Seems like all of the negative aspects of this pump is getting it set up.... Now that I have mine up and running and programmed, hopefully I'll get a long run of hassle free operation out of them!

I just spent 2 days trying to figure this out. If I had known all the hoops I had to do to get this to work i would of just bought the bluetooth version. The instructions for this product is wrong and inadequate. Here is what I did to get this to work.
1. Make sure you complete the setup first before you install the pump. I spent like 30 minutes running lines in my sump only to have to dig out the pump so I can move close to the router to finish the setup.
2. Make sure you have the right app, there's 4 Kamoer apps out there. You need the one called "Kamoer Remote"
3. You must be on 2.4g band. If you can disable 5G then do it, if you cannot then rename your 5G. If you have a mesh system unplug the satellites. Once setup is completed you can turn everything back on.
4. This is where instructions are wrong and most people are having issues. First you have to power on the pump and wait for the blue light to start blinking slowly. You need to get the pump into what they call a distribution mode. The pump is in distribution mode when the blue light is blinking rapidly. **Important** The app tells you to hold it for 6 seconds the manual tells you to hold it for 3 seconds. You need to hold it down for 3 seconds only. If you hold down the reset button down for 6 seconds you will notice it will blink red 2x, blue 1x, red 2x, blue 1x. This will not work and you will not get the pump into the right state. You only need to hold it down for 3 seconds, wait for the light to blink red 2x then let go. Wait 15 seconds and the light should be blinking blue rapidly. Once the blue light is blinking rapidly you can launch the Kamoer App. Do not launch the app until the blue light is blinking rapidly.
5. Ok now this one is the kicker. I was only able to dig this out by reading the coral vue support page. You need to give the Kamoer app permission to Location. For Android you locate the app and press on the app until a menu pops up called app info -> then press permissions and make sure Location is allowed.
I have 2 X1 PRO pumps, I was able to get the first pump connected without having to do this step. But the second pump would not connect until I did this.

I cant for the life of me to get these things to connect. I already have one of the F4's that I connected without issue 12 months ago and just got 4 additional X1 pro 2's and cant get a single one to connect.
I have completed all the steps above and my 5g network is completely disabled. I think where I am having issue is with step 4. If I hold the button in for 3 seconds nothing happens, I need to hold for 6 seconds to get 2x red flashes then it will slowly flash blue (ie a flash about every 2 seconds). I am assuming it should be flashing blue faster to be in the proper state? is that correct?

Blown, I'm in the same boat as you. first of all the manual is full of errors. light for me is not yellow as stated in the app, or blue. it's green. Were you able to resolve this ? I'm about to give up and request a refund. like you I disabled 5ghz. holding button for 3 seconds does nothing for me and I too need to hold it down to 6 seconds, then after red 2x, blue 1x, red 2x, blue 1x, it turns into slow flashing of green. then i press reset 3 seconds and nothing happens. please help if anyone knows. I cannot get to the fast flashing green state
If you have tried it a few times to no avail, the best advice I can give is to set it down, relax for a bit and try again later. Mine magically connected after giving up for a bit. But after finally getting connected, I've never had to do it since.
