It was full and colorful before. Is Ben like this for about a week or two now. It does not seem to br spreading but...
What can I do to help it?

Top pieces looks saveable.
Acro perhaps.

Did you use an alternative O2 source when you used the Chemiclean?

I did. I used wood air stone on powerful black air pump turned all the way up.

How do I save it?

From the coal war. My large pita maroon clown decided he wanted to push them together.

How do I save the month?
Will the flies grow back on the brain now that they are separated?

Is anyone able to answer my questions?

How do I savethe monti? What do iI to do to save it / get it healthy again?

Will the skin grow back on the brain?
Is there anything I can do to help it?

GAC and some water changes. Lower your light intensity if you can. Blow off any algae that grows on the dead areas.

Will take time to recover. Keep your water pramameters stable.

Blow off algae on dead areas and give it a dip in an iodine based coral dip, i use the the brightwell aqautics coral dip. It will slowly regrow over the dead spots.

I believe that's a chalice. If the recession continues you might need to frag it, I agree with the advice given. Sucks to have to go through this, hope the corals pull through.

I've done 3 water changes since it started and I've turned the lights down to 15% blues / 5% whites.
It does not seem to be receding any more but the rust color algae or whatever it is concern me. I have tried to gently brush it off but it's stubborn and I don't want to injure it any more than itis right now.

Should I be worried about whatever the first color is?
How should I address it?

Also, will the skin on the brain grow back now that is not being touched by another coral?

Did ya give them an iodine based coral dip or just disregard that advice? I have found that to be very effective in helping the coral speed up its healing and regrowth.

I tend to leave my corals alone after a fight. If they were happy and growing where they were before, they will heal faster without the stress of a dip IMO. No, the skin will not grow back over the brain. In time It may encrust and grow over the dead part. The rust on the monti is normal. As long as it doesnt start growing hair algea the coral should grow back over it pretty quickly. Monti's are weeds.

An iodine dip has never stressed a coral, unless you severely overdose the dip container.
True, I've dipped plenty. But breaking a coral off its mount and remounting it can be, especially when it requires superglue and a bunch of handling to get the job done. 12 years has taught me that sometimes no action is better than quick action. "Careful Neglect", or keeping your hands out of the tank is something we all need to practice more often.

Thank you. I have not dipped the coal. It's attached to the rock and is not able to move. It's a large(ish) coral encrusted and super glued to a very large rock. The only way to dip it is to do a water change where the coral is exposed and pour the dip into it. I don't think that would be the best idea.

I'm hoping that in time it will get healthy again and grow back now that you say the rust is nothing to worry about.
As far as the brain, it's healthy besides the dead part. Maybe in time it will re encrust over the dead part.

If there is anything I CAN do to help them that won't hurt them further, I'm willing to try.

I'm referring to the monti he's asking about it wasn't from coral warfare. Believe me I'm pretty laid back and don't stress over a little stn or some coral not looking right but with all the dead spots with algae growing on that thing it wouldn't hurt to give it a little help. Corals get infections and if that's the case it's always better to be proactive than just wait and see, the damage is all over the thing not just one little spot, but everybody does things there own way which is perfectly fine. The op was asking for some advice and I offered up what I would do if I had a coral that was clearly deteriorating in multiple locations.
