Hello,

I really need help choosing proper tank mates, everything I have is aggressive.:( On Christmas eve I got a yellow watchman goby, it was instantly double teamed by my LWM Blenny and Blue damsel, its now in my parents tank. Today I got a clownfish, my Damsel ripped her tail fin and won't leave her alone, I have no where to put her as my parents tank already has a clownfish pair. I'm thinking of taking my fish to my lfs and see if they'll take them and just start over.

Anyone know any good fish combos?

Tank size: 13.5 gallon
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
PH: 8.2
Calcium: 420
Alkalinity: 11

Invertebrates: Pin cushion sea urchin, Green brittle star, Coral banded shrimp, various hermits, 1 Astrea snail

Corals:Nephthea tree, Pulsing Xenia, Neon green toadstool, Brown palythoa, ricordea mushrooms.

(By the way please don't say anything about my lawnmower blenny being too big for that tank size. I read that people have got it to work, he's not skinny or starving, he can't even keep up with my algae growth:))

Thanks!

-Mick

So you have 5 fish in a 13 gallon ?
Gobies are the best for nanos

In that tank you want 2-3 small fish. Gobies, blennies, basslets, possum wrasses, that sort of thing. If want a clown, put that and a goby and maybe a blenny and call it done.

Fwiw, my favorite nano fish are the captive bred rainfords goby (they eat, where wild caught ones do not), pink streaked wrasse, and yellow clown goby.

I would love a goby but my blenny really hates them for some reason.

Meant 4 not five. I would get rid of the damsel and keep the lawnmower and clown

i think it also has to do with timing and when you put thing in the tank and them getting territorial. but at the same time damsels are very territorial fish
