I am currently running a 70 gallon center overflow reef aquarium with a 20 gallon sump. I will be moving in the next few weeks but my house will not be built for another 2-3months. I will be moving in with my in laws until this time and really do not have a place for the big 70 gallon setup with canopy and all.

So my question is,

For the time being in between moves I have have been looking at either the JBJ 45 RL rimless all in one, OR the innovative NUVO FUSION 40 gallon all in one to use to house my corals temporarily.. (could maybe fit all my corals into there 20 gallon version)

DOES ANYONE have quality input on which one I should go with or any other options to house all my corals and few smaller fish until I can set my 70 gallon back up when my new house is ready?

I recently had leaky tank issues and had to quickly tear down my display to replace with a new tank. My display is 80G, so I bought a 40G breeder from Petco and was able to store all of my livestock, coral and fish, in the 40. Filled it with tank water, saved the remaining water in brute trash cans. Unless you're going to use the JBJ 45, or Nuvo FUsion 40 long term, I wouldn't invest the money in one. You're never going to get your money back and if all you need is a temporary hold, it doesn't need to be fancy.

What/how did you filter the water?

I didn't. I just had a heater, hang on protein skimmer, and the light. Did a 10% water change every two weeks, hooked up my doser to it, and thats it.

My issue is I don't have enough space for a breeder or 36" tank. Could do a 20g but by the time I add sand and rock it will take away from the water volume and I have a yellow eye tang that will not (I don't think) survive in such small little water volume which is why I was looking at the JBJ RL-45

I gotcha. When i did mine, i didnt put the sand in the tank, i just put all the sand in a bucket and stored it. You could get a 30G, think they're around 30inches? I literally set mine on the floor, didnt even have a stand for it. I had a Kole tang, and 2 clowns in mine. You could always throw on a HOB filter, or a canister temporarily if you're worried about the bio load; or just do water changes more often.

If you have the space for it, a 60g cube is a nice size. Comes in reef ready and not! 24x24x24 and definitely enough space for a kole tang. Theyre probably cheaper than the fancy all in 1 things.
