So I have had a clownfish pair for about 3 years and I dont know if there male or mastersinger it possible for them to be gay lol?about two years ago I won two baby clowns at a auction they excepted one and killed the other are they not breeding becouse there a trio? And why is the baby still staying the same size about which is about three thirds or one half the size of my other clowns?I know the males smaller but it's different. There very nice and when I first got them they were orange with a black shade and now are half black I'll post some pictures.

I'm sorry this is the only picture I have on me right now

I'm pretty sure you answered all of your questions in your post.
They are not breeding because it is a trio. They will not feel comfortable enough to breed in a trio.
The tiny one is staying juvi because it is in a trio with a male and female already sexed clowns.

If you want to breed your clowns, get rid of one.

Is there anything else you want to know?

I love them all so I don't know what to do if I upgrade to my 75 will they still not breed there my only fish now. Then how come they sell trios I thought there would be 2 female and one male is there anything else I can do? After I do get rid of one how long do you think it will take?

I have a trio, 2 onyx 1 platinum ,n I do think also that they don't feel comfortable ,n the reason the other is not growing it bcuz the other 2 have stunt his growth mines are 2 1/2" years old they clean like crazy but nothing in a trio there is only 1 female 2 male the male you don't like the most have to go ,clowns need to feel save of any threat ..its like you are having sex n someone is always looking at you from a window with no curtains ,total turn off .maybe that's how clowns feel

I have to get rid of the baby?becouse as far as I know those two were always together at least since I got them. They seem to treat him like a baby and protect it one adult seems to take it to hide and one comes to fight my hand when I put it in the tank. I really want them to start laying.

Cant have it both ways. Keep a harmonious, non-egg-laying-three-way, or move the sub male to another tank. The small one isn't a baby btw, its not even a male or female. Sort of androgynous. If the female was to die, the current male (middle sized clown) would become the female and the small one would probably turn into a male. Thats not guaranteed although the male would definitely turn into the female. Your female may not be sexually mature yet although two years should be enough.

When I got them together they must have bin one or two years old so now they should be about three or four or five years old. So I'll remove the small one I just don't know what to do with him I don't want to part with him maybe I'll ask someone to hold him or I'll put him in his own tank for now. After I remove the small one how long should it take?i have also heard you need to wait a few batches befor you harvest I'm sorry but I'm really new to breeding saltwater fish.

No way to rush it unfortunately. Well actually i have heard that lowering the salinity of your water simulates the rainy season, which is when they mate, but this could be a problem if u have corals. Also heard raising temp up to around 82 may help. Maybe try to find someone in your area that has fish that are laying eggs. Get a few batches from them and put the eggs in with the clowns. Its a technique called double down. The clowns instincts will kick in and they will take care of the nest. This may trick them into laying a nest of their own. I have tried this technique with limited success

I know but I will still have to get rid of one correct? I was going to let nature take its corse but I guess I'll have to take matters into my own hands.
