Help! Copperband scales rising up - Video

I have attached a video of Butters my Copperband. If you focus just below the dorsal fin on his lift flank he has a small spot of scales that just don’t look right. He’s in my 70 gal frag/grow out and he eats whatever is in front of him mysis, brine, seaweed, mastic, yiu name it. I’ve even seen him eat TDO pellets. Anyway I’m hoping someone will recognize the issue so I can get my little buddy cleaned up. He is my favorite fish so any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How long have you had the fish?

Raised scales like this can be from Uronema or Icthyophonus fungal infections. Neither of those are really treatable as although the lesion has erupted on the surface, the site of the infection is deep seated.

It is a bit thin, can you try to get more calories into it.

Feed fish LRS herbivore frenzy, mysis shrimp, small plankton and add selcon vitamins to foods occasionally
Uronema too is my suspect but follow with Jay as he has begun assessment

Are these issues life threatening? I’ll try and beef up his diet but as I said before he eats like a tang. Anything that goes in he’ll eat it aggressively. Thanks for the help guys.

Both of those possible diseases can be life threatening.
