How do you dose your tank ?? And is this coral new to the tank ,light ,or have you placed it higher in the tank ?

Did you aclimate him to the light and if a supplements touches coral directly it can bleach it happened to one of my montipora caps

Maybe the light acclimating process is what's causing the bleaching but for the dosing, I dose into the sump

You know your tank best so just work with it and search the web I'm sure it will heal my montipora is doing just fine and you can't tell he was ever bleached

Planning on lowering it tomorrow and doing a water change on Sunday so we'll see... After having just a fish for many years, I started adding corals to my 29g and within a month ended up purchasing a RedSea Reefer 250 so I'm pretty new to corals.

All I need to add to my system is dosing pump and an Apex system

I've only Ben in saltwater for 8 months but it's an addiction to me lol I start with just zoas but I keep my tank in the best condition possible I test every 3 days I have no strict calc ,alk, mag levels bc they level out every week due to my 25%water change and I only dose once a week on schedule But I keep only 5 fish and about 13 coral plus inverts

Agree on the addiction part...love seeing people faces in [emoji33] when they see it! I need to be more strict on my water changes

Lol Ikr right I only don't like when ppl say Ooooo. You got a nemofish and I don't use a to or salt I order imagitrium water that's already a got calc, alk, mag, and a 1.026 salinity

Corals are highly sensitive creatures prone to all kinds of dieases. You don't know how the coral was taken care of before you got it. Even still these things happen all the time. Even under the best care these things happen. There is just so many unknowns that have an impact on whawt happened to your coral. Even the best aquarist loses corals.

How often do you change your carbon blocks in your Ro unit
what is your citys water like
