Within a 2 day period my fuzzy green sps has white tips . Alk-9.4, Cal-470, ph-8.1, phos-.02 ,Nitrate-1
Lighting hasn’t changed. Temp has been fluctuating at big over last month 79-82.
Any thoughts.....

LED 75% with t-5 supplement. But haven’t changed the schedule for 1 year. Lighting has been the exact same for a year. This almost happened overnight.
Makes no sense. I know my monti-caps list color due to tank getting up to 82.5 but are bouncing back . (Running A/C now)
Don’t have a chiller . Sorry for bad pic (iPhone)
200 gallon tank.
I don’t see a pest.

I agree, your tank is running ULNS. In which the Alkalinity needs to be much closer to NSW. Dkh of 7-7.5.
Many hobbyist that run ULNS with higher alk report alk burn like in the pic.

I would also like to ask what salt are you using and where does it mix to for calcium alk and magnesium befor a wc. I used to use red sea pro black bucket but had to switch to the blue bucket after I had my burnt tips due to the black mixing to high in alk.

Thanks All!
I’ve been doing this for 10 years . Relatively new to SPS. I do use the Black bucket of Red Sea Pro. And recently did do a water change. I’m going to stop the AlK dos. I’ve been dosing 175ml/day.
Question is , is it to late is this coral dead or will it bounce back?
