Help coral loosing polyps

I was kinda expecting this answer.
Well, to make you happy some of my SPS don't have PE either during the day.
During the night hours though they all look like furry sticks.
I'm sure you have PE during the nightly hours?

I will look tonight but most of my sticks have some kind of polyps during the day. Even this one was pretty fussy during the day. At night would be even more fussy. Here is a better picture.

Well, in this case there's not much else you can do.
Let it be where it is, by moving it and changes it will not be good for it at all.

I agree with diesel less work in the tank less stress on the coral. One of my frags is losing polyps from the base at the moment not sure what to make of it. Mother Nature is too finicky so maybe we'll never know why

Good point!...I am a compulsive mover-arounder...probably stressful on corals...problem is that they just don't stay glued to one spot...

Are they loosing them like mine or turning white and no flesh left behind? If no flesh I would look at your alk levels and mag.

Funny thing is I find a spot I want a new coral and buy it. Bring it home dip it and then glue it in place. So far never had issues with any. I even have a PIA chalice 1" below water line on my overflow. People say they need less light but this one at the top grows almost two times faster than the lower level one that I just sold. This one will be pulled out very soon.

Still pale as ever even frags that have been redipped. Other sps lately have been growing so fast I've been having to frag them back so they stop shading lower corals. Just this one is not doing good and driving me crazy. Is there any pest that could cause this type of issue to only one coral? Maybe like acro spiders? I haven't seen any ever. I haven't added any new corals without dipping them. I have even treated the tank for red bugs a few months back with interceptor and even used 2 times the recommend just to make sure every bug died. Also did 4 weeks of treatments and haven't seen another red bug since first treatment. Someone has to have an idea on this. I did a 35 gallon water change thinking it would help still no luck.

On this point you have done what you could and just give it time.
Leave the coral by itself and maybe it will recover if not than you're not at fault and this coral wasn't meant to be for your tank.
If this happens in my tank that coral will be gone, out of there if no improvement after a few days, maybe radical but I have done so with $10 frags and $400 frags no difference.

That's kinda what I want to do is remove it. But I feel that now on month of issues no change for worse or better not sure. I have a buddy that is thinking about trying a frag in his tank. Maybe if it comes back I could just get a new frag and kill off this colony.
