I was just looking for clarification to make sure that what I’m doing is correct.

I feed my soft and LPS coral live phyto every morning before the lights come on, and Red Sea AB+ after I feed my fish every other day. After both coral feedings, I leave my return off and power head on for 30 minutes.

Every time I do this the coral that I direct feed shrivel up for a few minutes. When I used to feed Reef Roids that never happened. Is that a reaction to the cold? Should I be letting it sit out before? Am I feeding correctly?

By shrivel up I mean the tentacles of my euphylia become extremely small and deflated. It’s not the normal “closing” reaction that I used to see when I fed reef roids. I just started direct feeding these two things and I used to broadcast before.
