Noticed that my trachyphyllia hasn't been fully opening lately so I dipped it and see a small crab with 2 pinchers living in the coral. I tried dipping it in coral rx but it won't come out what should I do???? Never seen anything like this before.

I think the crab moved in bc that coral looks like it's dying.

How long have you had it?

Not sure how those corals do or if they can tolerate it; but maybe a freshwater dip?

Just saw this though I think it's a gall crab??

Looks like there is another on burrowed into the coral just above where the new one is going in?

Wow, that is awful, but so interesting. Good luck, hope it makes a full recovery.
