I would like to have a completely disease free system.

I have a fairly large system (about 800 gallon) with several tanks, large skimmer, several hundred pounds of live rock, multiple refugia with Chaeto and deep sand beds. All these tanks are plumbed together. I run carbon, GFO, biopellets and dose Kalkwasser & chaetogrow. System has been running for ~ 10 years. All parameters (nitrates, phosphates, etc...) are good. I would like to add a reef tank to this system and add a significant amount of livestock to my current FOWLR and the new reef tank.

Live stock include purple tang, majestic angel & lined puffer in FOWLR (210 gallon display. )

I have 5 clowns, each in a 20 gallon.

1 snowflake eel (currently in a 20 gallon quarantine not connected to the system).

I don't have any notable inverts except what's living in the refugia.

Some of the tanks, including several 20 highs and three 40 gallon tanks are connected to the system but are currently holding no livestock.

When I started the system I only did an observation style QT process.

I believe there are some unwanted diseases present in my system. Over the years, I have seen some white spots on fish that would disappear with good maintenance and feeding schedules, etc...Currently, my purple tang has a couple white lumps on its eye, which I believe is due to a physical injury, but I'm not totally sure. I'm treating with Metro + Kanaplex + focus soaked food.

I am trying to figure out the best process for cleaning the whole system, fish, etc...and looking for some advice. I would like to start with a totally clean system and then practice a strict quarantine and treatment protocol moving forward.

I plan to do some version of this:

I am considering feeding General Cure + Focus -> running Hypo -> Prazi. I would remove carbon and lower the skimmer column height so water stays aerated but nothing is collected and also remove the chaeto. (maybe run prazi before hypo or paraguard instead of hypo?)

I have also considered setting up some other tanks and running fallow, but I'm concerned this would cause more stress to the fish (and me trying to net them out) and be harder to maintain water quality etc...

I am much more concerned about effectiveness and keeping my current fish alive than financial cost.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be very appreciated. #reefsquad

To completely clear your system of fish disease you would need to treat all fish and fallow the tank OR treat them all in tank with CP or copper. Treating in tank with CP or copper has some complications but can be done. Better to remove them and treat if possible.
