Hey everyone, I am new to posting on the forums, but I’ve been lurking for the last month or so doing a ton of research for the reef aquarium I’ll be setting up in December or January. I’m pretty well versed in keeping freshwater fish and plants so I’m excited to jump into reefing!
I’ve always subscribed to the theory that you figure out what fish you like, then build an aquarium to support them. With that in mind, I need some help figuring out options for a tank to properly house the following fish I’ve decided on:
Two designer ocellaris clowns (midnight and Wyoming white or frostbite)
Royal gramma
Pink Streaked Wrasse
A small blenny or goby for bottom movement (need suggestions! Bonus points if there are any black and gold nano fish that fit this bill)
My budget is around $1000-$1500. I’m looking specifically for an AIO tank as I have the stand already and don’t want to deal with a sump as a beginner. I plan to keep a mixed reef with corals/fish/inverts. The tank area I have available is 36-48inL/18inchW/whatever height wise. Smaller than those dimensions is fine, but those are the max specs.
So far I’ve come across only 2 tanks that fit my criteria: the IM Nuvo 30L and the Cobalt Aquatics C-Vue 40g. Are there any other options I’m missing that anyone would recommend?
