Hi all,
So i currently have a 200L tank (around 50 G) and am looking to upgrade. So now my question is between these two tanks is it worth it to spend 1K (AUD) more for a 500 L (132G) (6 x 2.3 x 2) than a 400L (100G) (4.2 x 2.5 x 2). These are all in one aquariums which have tank + cabinet + sump and skimmer. They are of the same company and same models just different sizes. I want to have a yellow tang and hopefully an emperor angel or some kind of angel as my main fish (can be a flame) and the rest will be like maroon clowns. As far as corals i want it more to be euphyllia and acro dominated.
Thanks! Links to the tanks are here:

With tangs and larger active fish I would think you'd want the length maximized especially since the height difference is negligible.
thats true but is the length really worth 1k more...

Yes. :)

I say that because at the end of the day...that 1K is going to be overwhelmed by more corals, more fish, more....more! No matter which tank you pick. Go for what you really want, which sounds like big active fish! Compromise on what you really want and 1K you save won't seem worth it at all.

Last thing you want is to look at a tank and think,"I wish I'd have...."!

I bought a clear for life 135 for 900 and I already had a stand and dump so it would of been at least 2000.00 I say get what you want and can afford be happ

I would go for the 6 foot tank. I have an 8 foot tank. I already made this decision.
You buy the tank once. You can put stuff in it for the next 20 years. That is how I thought about it.

Even though you didn’t list these tanks, look at the Waterbox. They have amazing AIO set ups and come with cabinets. The prices are pretty fair!
