Help dkh is 14

I have been dosing vitamin c powder a couple weeks now seeing good growth algae disappeared. But have a problem will it cause my dkh to rise to 14 not sure how to get it down tried water change but did not help using instant ocean salt not sure if vitc can cause it dkh has always ran around 11-12 test results are

Buffered vitamin C is an alkalinity additive.

If you are adding no other alk additives, then I think you need to switch to non buffered vitamin C, or stop using it.
