have a 20G SW. Complete with LED lights and skimmer and wave maker. I have 5 fish, 2 cleaning shrimp and 10 snails. One RBTA and one bubble. Everytime i'll try to put another coral, it just dies.

So maybe its because of the temperature? My normal temp range between 27-30 depends on the weather but now that its summer, i noticed that my RBTA is getting smaller. I am guessing its due to the water temp.

Anyway, i am now thinking of buying a chiller worth few hundreds.

Then the supplier told me that i need to make a sump pa and that's additional charges. I only have HOB filter and i thought its okay since i only have 20G.

I just need help on how to make this hobby succesful.

Anybody?

Thanks in advance!

Not familiar with Celsius but just did the conversion. So your normal temps are roughly 80-86 F, with swings upwards of that? Yeah I’d say you need a chiller. Please elaborate on the statement “the supplier told me that I need a sump pa.”

Are you currently running a heater? Is it possible that it’s stuck “On” without a controller? What country/ region are you in and what are your ambient room/ climate temps?

Thanks for the reply! I have been calling aquarium suppliers and one told me that i need to have a sump instead of hang on back filter. Im located in the Philippines so it gets pretty hot in my house, usually 98F to 99. Sometimes i open the AC if i know that its really hot and my aquarium needs to cool down.
