HELP! Eblie in a death spiral!!!

2 hours ago, fish was fine. Went through TTM with flying colors. Ate this morning. Peaceful with the emporer for 3 days now.
I was going to release them tonight

Any recommendations for emergency treatment. I know this usually means the end is near.

Possible it got spooked and injured itself? The bottom of that box is clear which is confusing to fish. Sometimes they try and swim down.

This fish is unfortunately moribund and likely not to make it. In this stage, it will not eat, nor swim normally making recovery virtually impossible
The question, then comes, what may have caused this. Possibilities are:
- Crashed into object from being startled
- Poir nutrition
- aggression
- internal disease
- method of capture from wholesalers such as cyanide

I don’t have a good answer for you. But I do have some recommendations.

1. Turn the light down or off. A struggling diseased fish is going to be more stressed with bright lights.

2. Good job of doing TTM. BUT TTM does not work for velvet which to me is the most dreaded illness. You have some incredible fish in that tank. Heaven forbid they get infected with velvet.

3. Is the fish breathing rapidly? Even if he is not a Formalin or freshwater dip may be in order as a last ditch effort to buy you more time (assuming this is a parasitic problem like velvet).

4. Check all your parameters. Probably not the problem since the other fish are doing well but doesn’t hurt to be sure.

It acts almost like a lion fish sting. We have a dwarf zebra, but what are the odds of a spine sticking through the small water slots and getting it.

I do my own velvet elimination TTM. 4-36 hour transfers will do it.
Every fish gets 15 minute dip in Hydroplex, then a 10 min FW Dip. Followed by 1st & 3rd transfer gets Paraguard.
Followed by 3 more 72 hour transfers.

Humblefish recommended methylene blue. Don’t have any of that.

Is there any chance it hit the tank wall from a fright? That's pretty rare, but for a fish to feed and then become moribund a few hours later, there isn't much else to account for that. I've seen people miss early symptoms of diseases like velvet, but in those cases, the fish wouldn't have been feeding this morning.

Can you move the fish to a floating basket and dim the lights?

Humblefish recommended methylene blue. Don’t have any of that.

TTM or dip will further stress this fish and unless you see a noticeable disease, I would not do ny of these steps. Adding oxygen may give it hope but honestly its too far in distress to make these attempts Unless you have concluded if it dies it dies and you have nothing to lose
methelene blue is nothing more than a detoxifier and use at times for fungal disease or ich. Neither applies to your situation.

Keep it dim/dark, white buckets can cause more stress since they can be bright.

Yup, this is the second one we’ve lost. The other one got beat up by the meanest half black angels I’ve ever seen. It is as aggressive as a diamond damsel. We regimes him and he’s still mean.
Same thing with coral beauties. We gave up after the 6th died. All from very strange events.
