So I ordered the SCA aquarium 120 internal overflow. I ordered aluminum extrusions 20/20 to frame it up. I know this stuff is strong and I've added multiple connectors at corners and cross beams. Has anyone built a frame from 2020? For a 120 gallon tank? I also put a 1/4 board for a flat top and a leveling 1/4 mat

My current 206g system was built from 3030 (euro) extrusions and for my upcoming 80gal frag tank I designed a stand based on 3030 and 3060 extrusions.

That being said, I did own Red Sea Max S-500 in the past and its stand was constructed with extrusions similarity sized to the 2020 profiles, and they used both the profiles and wooden walls for structural reliability.
You might want to do the same here to ensure it is stable enough to carry the weight evenly throughout the frame.

Perfect, I'm going to make another stand with 2x4s and rebuild this one . Thanks

Just so you'll have a reference, this is my design for an open frame with 3060 on top and 3030 used everywhere else, and a thick plastic sheet will be used as a table top and floor, although wood can be used instead.
The footprint is 117x64 cm.
