I got a melanurus wrasse in QT. My problem is I work 12 hour shifts. When I leave for work he's sleeping. When I get home from work, he's already in bed.

I don't work tomorrow, but it will be the third day he hasn't ate. I did leave some garlic mysis on the bottom of the tank before work. Any other suggestions?

I'm doing TTM, so I'm not super worried about excess nutrients

Maybe put a dim light on a timer that is on while your home and off while your away? Might get its schedule changed enough to be awake when your wanting to feed. Set the light to your DT timing or similar so it’s used to feeding time once transferred over.

You could try adding live brine before you go to work. They would probably still be swimming around when he wakes up.

I work 12 hour shifts also. My yellow coris insists on giving me similar issues. Luckily my husband feeds them for me on my late night

I don't think my lfs has live brine, but I'll go check tomorrow. I'm off the next two days.

I thought about leaving my kitchen light on. I have a leopard wrasse that does the same thing, but he's got pods to snack on. He's like a Mandarin. Always looking to eat a pod
