Help finding a new home for my two Black Ocellaris Clownfish

Hello All, this is not a post for sale or giveaway. I need some advice.
I have two (2) Black & White Ocellaris Clownfish. They are 6 years old and I have had them since they were about 6 months old. They are healthy and happy. I am relocating and I cannot take my RedSea XL200 50 gallon aquarium with me. Breaks my heart. I need some help to figure out where or how to give away the Black & White Clownfish. I also have a very skittish beautiful little Sapphire Blue Damsel.
I want them to go to a good home, but I am at a loss at exactly how to do it. I could post them here on R2R, but I wouldn’t ship them. Someone, will have to come and get them and before I would do that, I would need to be assured that they would be going to a good home. I have seen other posts on liveaquaria.com and another one, but like I said, I am not interested in selling them or shipping them. Other than here on R2R which I will do, what other options have you been successful at giving your fishes away? R2R is a National site and how do I approach this so that I can be successful and find a good home for them?
The other thing is, what do I do when someone comes to get them? How much water do they go away with? Do I dare ask what the water parameters are in the receiving environment? I think that that is something that I would ask, but I feel like it is a bit much.
Maybe it sounds a bit silly to some of you. I love my animals and I have to somehow sell or giveaway all of my beautiful corals too and I am so hesitant. I have been working on this project for about six months and have sold or given away all of my freshwater fishes and sold four aquariums and all of the equipment. The RedSea is the final one and I just can’t bring myself to do it. Is there a company that could do it for me? Anything to take the burden off of me, off of my heart…

You are absolutely correct about going to FB Jail. I was there. I had no idea that you CANNOT SELL LIVE ANIMALS on FB. Can’t, Won’t let you, they cut you off at the knees. Any subsequent posts will have errors that you won’t be able to decipher or fix and you are SUNK!

I just went through this, but on the other end. I was searching FB marketplace for used salt gear. I was going to start collecting equipment. I seen a tank for sale, with the fish (including clowns and electric blue damsel!). I took 90% of the waterand 100% of the sand. I drove the water, equipment, tank, and fish about 2 hours (in a snowstorm). I also took the tank cabinet.

I had already plan to add 30% new water once home.

the angle ended up with a pop eye. I was given all their meds so I added in the eye med. then I hit the aquarium store. They have me on a chem schedule. I did not like the tank due to scratch’s so I got a new tank, new hood, and I did take out 25% of the sand and I did another 30% water change last week.

I don’t know if I am crazy or not, but I love my fishes and I talk to them. It’s the only zen in my life.

I bet there is someone like me in your town or just a few hours away.

I love that you talk to your fishes. I had a beautiful Pink Kissing Gourami and we used to dance to music. He had these huge expressive eyes and wonderful fins and lips. I loved him so much, his name is Chester. I gave him away to The Garage on Capitol Hill. He is now luxuriating in a 200 gallon planted tank and has people to dance and play with all night long. They are / were my zen, too.

Local reef club

Hi there, I found one, registered, gave them all of my info, was straight up with them what I was doing. I responded to a post for someone looking for a Nano which I happen to have with all of the equipment that most of it is brand new. Guess what happened? They shut me down. Blasted. Down. No words, just wiped me off of the Forum. I spent a couple of hours registering and making sure that everyone knew who I was and my intentions and Blammo! I was so frustrated last night. I feel better today looking at all of the nice replies that I have gotten. There is someone about 150 miles away and I am willing to drive to drop off my clownfish if something else closer to home doesn’t happen. Pretty nice people here…really appreciate it.
