** HELP FIRST TIME CORAL OWNER**

My leather toadstool coral, which I got on Friday, looks like this. Do I need to be concerned????

40gal tank that has been established FOWLR since November until Friday when I added coral for first time.

It doesn't look good. I think it should be placed on a rock rather than on the sandbed, but that wouldn't cause this issue.

What type of lighting do you have? What are your parameters? Salinity, pH, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate.
