I need some help here folks. I’ve shipped 3 colonies thus far and none have made it in one piece and one died all together. The one that died was in a Zen Reef container, solid white on arrival, the other two were also in containers supported with foam and upside down sample cup for extra protection.
Here’s the colony I’m going to sell (soon) and need your best advise how to ship colonies like this.

I've shipped a limited number of colonies similar to that size, but I've had good luck with taking a larger condiment cup (4 ounce?), cutting an X on the bottom and discarding the lid. I then take the plug and push it into the cup so the cup protects the end of the colony from touching anything directly. Then I take the colony with the cup, and put that in a poly bag and tie it.with no air in the bag. So the coral is free to move around in the bag, but only the bottom of the frag plug, or the outside of the condiment cup can touch the bag.

I feel like this method allows you to use as much water as you want, which may provide some extra cushion, and extra temperature stability in shipping. I have actually done the same thing and put 4-5 frags in the same bag of water, all with condiment cups and arrived very healthy recently. Wish I would have taken pictures

Colonies and large frags just don't ship well. I've shipped over 1000 pieces and the only ones that give me trouble are large encrusted frags. That PC Superman is way to big to ship IMO.

How's it going Randy, hope all is well. You still have Princess O's? Thanks for the feedback, I'll stick to moving colonies locally, not shipping.

Wow just thinking about that colony being doa on arrival hurts me inside
