Hi,

So I am going to be setting up this 50 gallon reef tank soon and was wondering if you guys could help give me some options or recommendations for lighting and flow that would be pretty affordable and help me succeed with LPS and some SPS! I would love to be able to support acros at some point in the tank and would just like everyone's suggestions. Below are pictures of the tank.

I am currently thinking of using the Jebao CP-120 Cross Flow Pump Wave Maker with Controller from Amazon!
Then for lighting I was thinking of using the Viparspectra's 165w lights probably just one if I could?

Please just let me know what you guys think would be good enough for my plan with the tank and if you guys know of any other good products?

Tank Dimensions: 28L x 18W x 18H

Bump.

Looks like the pump you are looking at is a gyre type pump. I haven't used that brand, but that style provides a ton of flow. I run an Ice Cap, among other things, on my 125. It pushes a 'sheet ' of water 6 feet across the top of the tank.

Other options for pumps depends on what type of flow you want, and what your budget is. I will usually suggest a couple smaller pumps rather than one huge one.

For lights: lots of folks use the viparspectra or similar black box LEDs. They apparently work fine. You may want 2 for best coverage, and the higher you can mount it, the better.
