my foxface is suddenly acting strange. my water parameters are normal and my other fish are acting fine. except my scopas tang and my misbar clown are suddenly swimming underneath my foxface and nudging at him constantly. my clownfish even kept pushing him up toward the surface of the water for a period of time but now my foxface is just laying on a rock breathing really heavy and not swimming.

literally nothing is different in my tank and ALL of my fish are acting fine. it’s weird because i know foxface are really hard, maybe he just got sick? i’ve only had him two weeks. i’m not sure what to do.

i know foxface are strange fish and they change colors and sometimes sit in the corner of the tank or other weird habits. but i feel like this isn’t a weird habit. there’s really nothing that could attack him and they’ve all been getting along. i have noticed that he can’t swim with my powerhead on, at all. he’s been like that since i picked him up from liveaquaria but i thought that was just because he’s a little on the smaller side?

what do i do? he was eating fine and my parameters are mostly at 0, nitrates are above 0 a little bit. i don’t understand, please help

What have you been feeding him? Almost looks skinny and malnourished.

Likely the tang n clown starting to show aggression towards the newcomer.

they get fed a sheet of nori every other day, and then every night they get a mix of mysis, krill, marine pellets, and an omnivore blend of frozen food. he’s looked like that some i got him but he always scarfs down food and nobody tries to compete for food unless it’s over the veggie clip, so i always tie seaweed to the rocks and stuff for him.
i thought he was skinny, too, but he’s looked like that since i got him. and i couldn’t hand pick, obviously, he’s from liveaquaria. i’ve never had this problem with them before but he just won’t gain weight. i’m not sure what i should do with him or if he’s gonna live.

Are you running any treatments? could be internal parasites taking all the nutrition from what he's eating, have you observed long white stringy poo at all?
I'll tag @Humblefish to see if he can help out :)

i managed to get him into a holding container in my tank. he was just swimming frantically at the tip of the tank, but was laying sideways while doing it.
i know he’s gonna die, i just want to know now what’s wrong with him and if i should do anything to my tank. i have not ran any treatments in this specific tank, but it could very well be that he has an internal parasite.

are internal parasites contagious? will my other fish get it?

i haven’t seen him poo much, but i work a lot so he probably does while i’m working.

If the other fish came into contact with this fish's excrement, it is possible. Let's wait for humblefish to chime in. I'll also tag another one of our experts @Big G and @4FordFamily

all of the fish have been treated prior, some longer ago than others. some of the fish in the tank came from my other tanks totally healthy.
the foxface didn’t get a stay in a QT because i don’t have one currently, but he did get a 15 minute bath like all the new comers usually do.

perhaps its a swim bladder issue? the stomach looks lumpy, which can be a precursor to pinch belly.
