Help get tang to eat seaweed

I picked up a tank raised 2” blue hippo two days ago and I’ve put seaweed on my scrubber magnet for the past few days today even tryed soaking in garlic. She ate the peace’s that blew off but won’t eat the seaweed off the strip doesn’t even act like it’s there give me some pointers

I had to move mine where flow helped it move in a more natural way. It helped, but they still enjoy chasing pieces that break off!

And the scrubber magnet just maybe to imposing to approach. Especially for a new addition

You could try attaching the seaweed to a piece of rock with a rubber band. It may feel more comfortable eating off of the rock than your magnet.

I had a yellow also that wouldnt eat. tried a clip, a rock, small pieces in the flow and still nothing. It lasted about 10 days. I hope you have better luck with yours and if you do get her to eat please share the secret cheers

Have you had any luck? Mine just take the floating pieces but then she spits them out

Having a fish in the tank that eats it no problem will help. Idk why but my clowns and wrasses ate it and then my tangs tried it


Now everyone loves the purple seaweed you could try frozen that includes it so they get a taste for it maybe
